Wendy Campbell

Wendy Campbell is a Core French teacher, a modern/heritage/First Nations languages consultant and curriculum developer at both the national and provincial levels, and the author of French textbooks and supplementary readers in use across Canada. She is a graduate of the Canadian College in Lausanne, Switzerland and the University of British Columbia, where she earned her teaching degree.  Over the past 35 years as an educator, Wendy has taught students at all grade levels, as well as teaching Faculty of Education courses at the University of Victoria and presenting national, provincial and regional workshops for second-language teachers.  She is in her 6th year as the French teacher at Venta, teaching all students in Grades 1 – 10.
Each Hallowe’en, Wendy can be found amidst the crepe paper and the spider webs, as a co-organiser of the school’s annual Hallowe’en party.  She enjoys participating in all Andrew House intramural activities, and also enjoys playing with great enthusiasm and very little talent on the Staff Team for all sports events.  As a former ski patroller, Wendy looks forward to encouraging beginning skiers on the annual school ski trip to Stoneham.  Wendy enjoys an active lifestyle, and has accompanied senior students on several Leadership outings, including canoeing and camping in Algonquin Park and rock-climbing in Gatineau Park.
Wendy has a son and a daughter, both in university and costing a lot of money, and both working toward their degrees in Education.
