Vicci has been teaching at Venta since 1999. She was born in the Eastern Townships of Quebec and schooled in Westmount, but she also lived in P.E.I., N.S., N.B. and B.C.  After several years of teaching riding in Fredericton, she went to the National School of Equitation in Quebec to get her Instructor’s Diploma.  She has taught and competed in all disciplines of equestrian events – dressage, jumper and 3-day eventing.  She ran her own boarding stable in the Fraser Valley in B.C., along with teaching and training young horses. She has worked for many years as a Course Conductor and Examiner for the National Coaching Certification Programme.

Vicci then went back to university and finished a degree in Arts at the University of Victoria followed by a teaching certificate.  She now teaches the Grade 8 class.   She is very adept at training her students to bridge the gap between the junior school and high school. Vicci is a highly organized and innovative teacher. Her students quickly learn that she has high expectations that will stretch each child to live up to their potential.

Vicci is happy with her decision to change careers, and she still teaches and does some riding.
