Tracey Quinn
Prior to working at Venta, Tracey worked in the academic office at Ashbury College from 1990- 2000. In 1995, she married Venta's current Director of Studies, Shaun Quinn, and moved on to the Venta property, while still working at Ashbury. In the fall of 2000, the Board of Directors asked Tracey if she would be interested in heading up an Admissions office at Venta. She has been working as the Director of Public Relations and Enrollment ever since.
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Tracey was a child of a military family and therefore lived all over Canada and in parts of Europe. Her family eventually settled in Ottawa and she attended Trent University in Peterborough for two years. She then realized she was interested in Canadian politics, so she finished her honours degree in Political Science at Carleton University.
In addition to designing the marketing and advertising, Tracey is the school's unofficial photographer, webmaster, and communicator with both prospective and current parents. She is the school representative on the Parent Committee, and has helped organize the school's 20th and 25th anniversary celebrations.
Tracey served for two years on the Board of Directors of the Kanata Chamber of Commerce. She has been on the Ontario Federation of Independent Schools organizing committee for their annual school fair for the past 3 years. Recently she has spear-headed a West End Independent Schools Fair. Currently she is pursuing a membership with the Canadian Public Relations Society. Tracey is also working toward a Public Relations Practitioner Certificate at Algonquin College in her free time.
Tracey's hobbies include reading, fishing ,music and spending time at the cottage with her husband and friends. She loves dealing with prospective and current parents, and derives great satisfaction from seeing new families and students thrive at the school. Tracey is very passionate about the school and is proud to be part of the Venta family.
