Venta mourns the loss of former Board Chair and Founding Board Member

 (Monday, January-30-12) It with great sadness that Venta Preparatory School announces the passing of Rev. Eugene “Jeep” Green. Jeep passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Park Place Retirement Residence in Ottawa on Friday, January 27, 2012. Jeep Green has woven his special grace, caring, compassion and wisdom in a life dedicated to supporting others. A beacon of civility, sincerity and uncompromising credibility, he has left a real legacy as a man of conviction, who lived without fanfare, working to relieve uncertainty, fear and make his part of the world a better place. Venta Preparatory School certainly benefited from Jeep’s compassion and commitment towards youth education as he was a founding Board Member of Venta, where he served for 25 years and was Chairman for 20.

Jeep Green’s positive influence has indeed been woven into the lives of many. We have all been incredibly privileged to have known this unique man. He is physically gone, but he will live on in the hearts and minds of his family and all the many, many people he touched, his spirit shining into eternity.

Friends may call at All Saints Anglican Church, 347 Richmond Road, Ottawa on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 1 p.m. until time of service in the church at 2:00 p.m.
