Jane is a Canadian citizen of British extraction, married, and the mother of two teenage sons. Her family immigrated to Canada in 1997.

She has been involved with Venta since 2001, when both her children became students. She joined Venta as the Junior 3 tutor in September 2006. She tutors junior students and supervises the Junior 3 study period. Her previous educational working experiences includes Nursery, Montessori, and Elementary schools.

She has been involved in teaching children to ride in the Pony Club and she has helped in Therapeutic Riding. She was a member of the Mount Pakenham Snow School and actively participated in the Skiing in Schools program.

Her hobbies include reading, skiing, gardening, playing violin and learning guitar. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the March Rural Community Association.
