Admission Procedure

Admission to Venta Preparatory School is based on:

• A personal interview with the applicant* and/or his/her parents.
• A pyschoeducational  assessment by our school psychologist.
• Availability.

* Younger children are invited to spend a portion of, or the entire day with us.

 

To Apply to Venta Preparatory School:

• Contact the school to request an application package.
• If you live in the area, arrange to visit the school while it is in session.
• Complete and sign the application form. 
• Return the completed application with a non-refundable $75.00 application fee.
• Enclose a photocopy of the applicant's report cards of at least the last two years.
• Arrangements will be made for you to meet with our Principal, Miss Marilyn Mansfield.

Applications for admission are received year round.  However, our commitment to small class sizes means that there is limited space for some grades.

If possible, parents are encouraged to contact the school to set up a time to visit.  As part of your research, arrangements can be made for you to meet with our Principal, Miss Marilyn Mansfield at the time of your visit.   We encourage parents to visit our school while it is in session.

• Tuesday, September 25 - Montreal Education Fair.  Holiday Inn - Pointe Claire. Montreal  Hwy 40 & St. Jean Blvd.  6:00 - 8:30 p.m.

• Tuesday, November 6 - Ottawa Area Independent School Fair.  RA Centre - Ottawa. 5:00 - 8:30 p.m.

• Thursday, November 8 - Open House at Venta Preparatory School.  9:00 - 11:00 a.m.

• Thursday, January 24 - Open House at Venta Preparatory School. 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

• Thursday, May 8 - Open House at Venta Preparatory School.  9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
