Did you know that.....

VICTOR ANTONIO lives in Boston and works for an advertising company called Modernista.

ACE ALYKHAN-CHARNIA  finished a degree in Business Administration and joined his father's business - Jubilee Jeweller's.

LAURIE BARTMAN lives in Etobicoke and took business courses at University of Toronto and Humber College.  She is currently an Office Manager and a Customer Service Representative at Union Roto-Graving of Canada.
She still enjoys the great outdoors, travelling and life in general!

FAITH BLACK  is married with two children. Her daughter, Kassaundra has just graduated from St. Lawrence College and is working at the Brookstreet Hotel in Kanata. Her son, David is living in BC working in Whistler. Faith works at Edward Jones Investments.

JASON BOLDRICK  recently contacted the school to let us know he is working off the coast of Newfoundland on an oil rig.

ALEX BURKE graduated from La Salle Secondary School in Kingston and is now attending the Devry Institute of Technology in Mississauga.

JAY COLLINS went to  Queen's University majoring in Drama.  Well done Jay - Anne Moore is proud of you!  

JOHN AND HEATHER CORDUKES live in Coburg, Ontario and stay in touch on a regular basis.  They thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and this year their annual canoe trip took them through the Northwest corner of Algonquin Park.  They have two daughters.  Colleen is in Grade 9 and is heavily involved in a variety of extracurricular activities (Yearbook, Swim Team, Choir).  Erin is in Grade 6 and recently represented her school at a cross country running event.  Both John and Heather are still teaching and enjoying life.

HADI DEHAIS now lives in Calgary.  He recently stopped by Venta for a visit with his wife Tina and his two children, Jordan and Kayleen.  Photo Gallery.

MORGAN ELDRED has started an internet design company.

NADA GIRGIS  went to Grenville Christian College after Venta and then attended the University of Ottawa.

MELISSA GRAY is in her last year of her degree at Lakehead University, majoring in Outdoor Recreation and Geography.  She has applied to attend teacher's college for next year.

SAMARA GRANOFSKY  attended Ardingly College in Sussex England, then Stanstead College in Stanstead, Quebec.  She then attended St. Thomas University in New Brunswick and reports that she has won many major awards for Rugby.  While at Stanstead her team won the provincials as well as the independent schools tournament.

RORY GREEN is attending the University of British Columbia.  She is majoring in global citizens (geography, political science, sociology, history)

MICHAEL HAWDUR graduated with honours from a (two year) Police Foundation Course at Algonquin College.   He decided to continue his education, and he is now a student at Carleton University, second year of the Criminology and Justice Law program.

CLAIRE HIGGINS  recently  married Eric Dickson on March 3, 2006 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. 

GEOFF HIGGINS went to Memorial University after Venta.  He  married Laura Walker and they recently had a little girl named Emma.  You can view pictures of Emma by visiting http://ironwall.net/emma.  Geoff works at Kanata Montessori School as a Junior elementary science teacher and he is also their computer IT person.

MARK HIGGINS attended the University of Ottawa (psychology and computer science).   Mark recently moved to Vancouver where he's working in management level position with a support company.

MATTHEW HIGGINS received a diploma in Robotics from Algonquin College.  He is now attending the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) taking electronic engineering technology.  He will graduate in the spring of 2007.  He is also sharing an apartment with Shawn Port - another Venta alumnus.

JANUARY HILL attended Queen Margaret's School (BC), Notre Dame College (Sask) and Ridley College (Ontario), after she left Venta.  After graduating in 1999 from Curry College in Massachusetts, she was fortunate enough to travel to Europe and she is now living in Calgary with her new husband.  She is a ECE pre-school teacher.  20th Anniversary Photo Gallery.

VANESSA HOLLAND graduated from Grenville Christian College and is now at Fanshaw College studying Hotel Management.

HOSANNA HOLM lives in Mississauga and is engaged to be married.  She just finished writing a book of poetry that will be published soon.

KARRY HOGUE  is studying to be a hospital admissions clerk.  She informed us that she is also the very proud mother of two terrific boys - Tylor (12 years) and Kyle (8 years).  They both enjoy swimming and Tae Kwon Do.

STEVEN JAMIESON attended Algonquin College and Carleton University after attending Venta.  He currently lives in Stittsville.

ALIM JESSA is a Certified Financial Planner (CSC, LLQP) and he works as a Financial Advisor at Clarica.

SHAMIL JESSA is taking a Real Estate Law course and is currently working in his 2nd year in Real Estate. His website is: www.shamiljessa.com

GREG KELSEY has been busy since he graduated high school! After graduating from Algonquin in the chef programme, he worked at the National Arts Centre where he cooked for numerous celebrities such as Nelson Mandela, Prime Minister Jean Chretien, Premier Chou and Bruce Cockburn   Greg then decided a career change was in order and went back to school to get a diploma in the Commercial Pilot / Aviation Management Programme.  After graduating with Honours, he was the winner of the First Air Northern Skies Award.  Well done Greg!

TRICIA KING graduated from Ashbury College in June 2003, and she is now at Dalhousie University taking Political Science.

FRIEDRICH KLAUS graduated from the University of British Columbia last year.  He plans on taking a Master's degree in Finance  (Msc) in the UK.

MARK KLUSKA is currently living in London, Ontario attending Fanshawe College.

BEN KOSHY is taking a Business Administration course at Algonquin College.

JOEL LANGLOIS  attended York University.

KIM LAVIGNE is married and lives in Cornwall. She has 2 boys, Tyler (11) and Ryan (8). Her last name is now Ravery.

NATHANIEL LEGAULT-ROTH recently married Andrea Pilgrim.

TED LOUGHEED finished his degree at  Carleton University.  He majored in Philosophy and Religion.

HYMN MACH  is currently in the gifted programme at Bell HIgh School.  I recently wrote to tell us that attending Venta helped him prepare for high school.

ALEX MANN is living in Ottawa and he recently graduated from the University of Ottawa (English).  He plans on starting his B.Ed. in the fall.   Alex recently stopped by for a visit and he told us that he plays in a band - lead guitar.  He gives Kathleen Rooney credit for this...!  His band often plays at a local bar called Elbow Room.

NICOLAS MASSICOTTE just returned from spending one year in Belize on a humanitarian mission.   He is currently beginning studies in Anatomy and Physiology and is still studying Chinese medicine.  Nicolas recently dropped by the school for a visit...check out the Photo Gallery for a picture!

JORIN MCDONALD has started an independent film and Video company called Gorilladog Films

COLIN MACINTYRE is attending the University of Ottawa taking business and accounting.  He is still playing football!

KARL MENDES is in his first year of Civil Engineering at the University of Ottawa.

MICHAEL MOESER is studying law at Osgoode Hall in Toronto.

TIM MOLLISON lives in the Waterloo region and works as a Rel-Time/Intraday Staffing analyst for Arvato Services, while attending the University of Waterloo's School of Planning.

ROB MORE works at Object Technology and volunteers at the Experimental Farm.

CORINE ROWEN (MURRAY) moved to Brantford in 1996.  She married Eric Rowen in 1998 and their daughter Allison Irene was born in February 2004.  She is currently working at the CNIB as a rehabilitation teacher.

ALEXANDRA NAHWEGAHBOW will graduate from Elmwood in June 2004 and she will attend Guelph University in the fall.

ALAISDAIR NEWSON is attending an engineering university called UTC (Université de Technologie de Compiegne) located in France.

STEPHANIE NICHOLDS has been working toward a diploma in graphic arts while working full time at her parent's business.  In her free time she participates in various kayaking and hiking trips.  Stephanie reports that she plans on getting her pilots license and she is currently flying the Diamond Katana.

NINA NOURAEYAN finished her degree in Biology at the University of Ottawa, and has just been accepted in to medical school at McGill - graduating with the class os 2011. Congratulations Nina!

NATHAN OGLIVIE-HARRIS graduated from the University of Southhampton and has just been offered a job by the NHL in the scouting department.  He's working out of the Toronto office.

RACHEL OGLIVIE-HARRIS is in her 3rd year at University of Briston. Next year she will be her Master's degree with De Beers Diamonds as her sponsor. She won the 2006-2007 Student Award from the Mineralogical Society of UK and Northern Ireland. She is working with one of the top consultants in the world for volcanology and diamonds. She is also the president of the Bristol Earth Science Department and The Mount Cameroon Research Foundation.

SIMON OGILVIE-HARRIS just graduated from the Unversity of Newcastle with a BA in Geography,  He's gone the University of the City of London to do an MSC in Management.  He hopes to go into the financial business.

JILL QUINLAN-BIRD  is married to Stephen Bird and they have two lovely daughters (Miranda 8 yrs and Vanessa 7 yrs).  She is working as the Fund Development Director of a Montreal charity called Tyndale St. Georges  for inner city children.  She lives in Montreal and prior to that was living in London, England and Toronto.  She graduated for St. Francis Xavier University in 1989..

NICK RABY recently sent us a note to let us know that he recently bought a house and is on the Tim Horton's travelling team helping to open new stores across Canada.

KATIE ROGERS had twin girls, Jade and Hannah on May 19th 2001.   Presently she is working full time as a Mother's Helper and part time at Sweetgrass Aborignial Bistro here in Ottawa.  It is the first Native restaurant in the nation's capital.   Katie recently re-united with her birth family in Norway's House Cree Nation, Manitoba.  She plans to study Journalism at Carleton University.  Photo Gallery

KYLE ROSEBROOK joined the military and is currently stationed in Petawawa.

WALID SALEM attended the American School of Paris, Ottawa University and Algonquin College after he graduated from Venta.  He has launched a company called Mipiq Wireless Corporation and he enjoys consulting within start-up environments.   In the summer of 2005 Walid married a woman named Sara.  Photo Gallery

HANS SCHENK  finished high school in Vienna, Austra and then attended the University of Colorado.

MARK SKAFF attended Ashbury College after Venta and then went on to obtain a diploma in Journalism at Centennial College.  He works for the Government of Ontario  in the office of the Premier as a Senior Media Analyst.

JEFFREY SPIDLE  runs his own recording company called Fidelity Recording Services. 

ALISON STEWART  went York University and obtained a degree in Fine Arts.

PHIL SWANSON is attending Queen's University majoring in mining engineering.

STEPHEN TEETER has a diploma in Police Foundations and Computer Programming from Algonquin.  He recently married Natalie Leury, sister of Venta graduate, Angela Leury.

MARK TEETER is working on a diploma in Desktop Publishing.

TIGEST THOMSON graduated from Redeemer Christian High School and then spent 7 months in the Katimavik Programme.  Tigest is engaged to be married.

KATIE WAKELY attended Sir Sanford Fleming in Peterborough, ON. She is getting married in June 2007.

STEVE WAKELY lives just outside of Manotick with his girlfriend Crissy, and their 15 month old son, Lincoln. He went to Algonquin College and studies to be an HVAC tech.

ERIC WATTS finished higschool in 2005 and then went on to get a degree in Business Management. Eric lives in Ottawa.

DAVID WENER  finished his Bachelor of Commerce degree at Concordia University and is working and is working in management at an IT Company.  Before that he received a diploma in Health Sciences from John Abbot College and won the Robert Morrison Computer Center Award.

JOEL WENER also won the Robert Morrison Computer Center award and made the Dean's Honour Roll at Vanier College.  His is currently at Concordia University and works as an IT Technologist at CAE Inc.  20th Anniversary Photo Gallery.
