Did you know that.....

JOHN BAKER lives in Erie, Colorado and is almost finished his senior year. He has applied to go to Pitzer, Reed, Lewis & Clark, Grinnell, Connecticut Collge , Norhwestern and Acadia University.

BRUCE BAKER also lives in Erie, Colorado and is a busy freshman. He plays varsity soccer and basketball.

FAITH BLACK  is married with two children. Her daughter, Kassaundra is getting married to James Richards on July 4, 2009. Her son ,Mitchell is back from BC and is working in Ottawa.

JASON BOLDRICK  recently contacted the school to let us know he is working off the coast of Newfoundland on an oil rig.

JAY COLLINS went to  Queen's University majoring in Drama.  Well done Jay - Anne Moore is proud of you!  

JOHN AND HEATHER CORDUKES live in Coburg, Ontario and stay in touch on a regular basis.  They thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and have two daughters Colleen and Erin.   Both John and Heather are still teaching and enjoying life.

HADI DEHAIS now lives in Calgary.  He and his wife Tina and have two children, Jordan and Kayleen.  Photo Gallery.

ANDREW FAULKNER is taking psychology at the Univeristy of Ottawa and works in their research department. He plans to continue on to get his Master's as he wants to continue in the psychology research field.

NADA GIRGIS  went to Grenville Christian College after Venta and then attended the University of Ottawa.

MELISSA GRAY attended Lakehead University, majoring in Outdoor Recreation and Geography.  She has applied to attend teacher's college for next year.

RORY GREEN is attending the University of British Columbia.  She is majoring in global citizens (geography, political science, sociology, history)

SAEED HASHEMIAN graduated from Earl of March and then attended Algonquin College.  Photo Gallery.

MICHAEL HAWDUR graduated with honours from a (two year) Police Foundation Course at Algonquin College.   He decided to continue his education at Carleton University in Criminology and Justice Law program.

CLAIRE HIGGINS  married Eric Dickson and they had a son Cooper. Photo Gallery  

GEOFF HIGGINS went to Memorial University after Venta.  He  married Laura Walker and they have two children.  Geoff works at Kanata Montessori School.

MARK HIGGINS attended the University of Ottawa (psychology and computer science).  

MATTHEW HIGGINS received a diploma in Robotics from Algonquin College then attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) taking electronic engineering technology. 

JANUARY HILL attended Queen Margaret's School (BC), Notre Dame College (Sask) and Ridley College (Ontario), after she left Venta.  After graduating in 1999 from Curry College in Massachusetts, she was fortunate enough to travel to Europe and she is now living in Calgary with her new husband.  She is a ECE pre-school teacher.  20th Anniversary Photo Gallery.

VANESSA HOLLAND graduated from Grenville Christian College and then went to Fanshaw College to studyHotel Management.

HOSANNA HOLM lives in Mississauga and is engaged to be married.  She just finished writing a book of poetry that will be published soon.

KARRY HOGUE  is a hospital admissions clerk.  She informed us that she is also the very proud mother of two terrific boys - Tylor and Kyle.

STEVEN JAMIESON attended Algonquin College and Carleton University after attending Venta.  He currently lives in Stittsville and recently got married. Photo Gallery

ALIM JESSA is a Certified Financial Planner (CSC, LLQP) and he works as a Financial Advisor at Clarica.

GREG KELSEY has been busy since he graduated high school! After graduating from Algonquin in the chef programme, he worked at the National Arts Centre where he cooked for numerous celebrities such as Nelson Mandela, Prime Minister Jean Chretien, Premier Chou and Bruce Cockburn   Greg then decided a career change was in order and went back to school to get a diploma in the Commercial Pilot / Aviation Management Programme.  After graduating with Honours, he was the winner of the First Air Northern Skies Award.  Well done Greg!

TRICIA KING graduated from Ashbury College in June 2003, and then attendedt Dalhousie University.

FRIEDRICH KLAUS graduated from the University of British Columbia and then took his Master's degree in Finance  (Msc) in the UK.

JOEL LANGLOIS  attended York University.

KIM LAVIGNE is married and lives in Cornwall. She has 2 boys, Tyler and Ryan . Her last name is now Ravery.

NATHANIEL LEGAULT-ROTH married Andrea Pilgrim and lives in Ottawa.

TED LOUGHEED received a degree fromt  Carleton University.  He majored in Philosophy and Religion.

ALEX MANN is living in Ottawa and he graduated from the University of Ottawa (English). 

NICOLAS MASSICOTTE just returned from spending one year in Belize on a humanitarian mission.   He is currently beginning studies in Anatomy and Physiology and is still studying Chinese medicine.  Nicolas recently dropped by the school for a visit...check out the Photo Gallery for a picture!

JORIN MCDONALD has started an independent film and Video company called Gorilladog Films

SIMON MCNAUGHTON has completed an Economics degree from Carleton University and has applied to Columbia Law School. He is working in Washington this summer for an internship with a lobbyist who works on Capitol Hill.

LISA MCNEIL attended our 20th Anniversary celebrations with her son Jayden.  20th Anniversary Photo Gallery.

KARL MENDES took Civil Engineering at the University of Ottawa.

MICHAEL MOESER studied law at Osgoode Hall in Toronto.

TIM MOLLISON is a Workforce Forecasting and Scheduling Analyst for Arvato Digital Services in Kitchener, ON. He continues to attend the University of Waterloo part-time.

ROB MORE works at Object Technology and volunteers at the Experimental Farm.

CORINE ROWEN (MURRAY) moved to Brantford in 1996.  She married Eric Rowen in 1998 and their daughter Allison Irene was born in February 2004.  She is currently working at the CNIB as a rehabilitation teacher.

ALEXANDRA NAHWEGAHBOW graduated from Elmwood and then attended Guelph Universityl.

ALAISDAIR NEWSON is attended an engineering university called UTC (Université de Technologie de Compiegne) located in France.

STEPHANIE NICHOLDS has been working toward a diploma in graphic arts while working full time at her parent's business.  In her free time she participates in various kayaking and hiking trips.  Stephanie reports that she plans on getting her pilots license and she is currently flying the Diamond Katana.

NINA NOURAEYAN finished her degree in Biology at the University of Ottawa, and has just been accepted in to medical school at McGill - graduating with the class of 2011. She is also engaged to Khosrow Ebrahimpour and will be married in July 2009. She hopes to become a cardiac surgeon and hopes to get a research position this summer that uses bone marrow stem cells to make cardiac cells. Congratulations Nina!

NATHAN OGLIVIE-HARRIS graduated from the University of Southhampton and works in the NHL scouting department.  He's working out of the Toronto office.

RACHEL OGLIVIE-HARRIS attended the University of Briston. She then went on to do her Master's degree with De Beers Diamonds as her sponsor. She won the 2006-2007 Student Award from the Mineralogical Society of UK and Northern Ireland. She is working with one of the top consultants in the world for volcanology and diamonds. She is also the president of the Bristol Earth Science Department and The Mount Cameroon Research Foundation.

SIMON OGILVIE-HARRISgraduated from the Unversity of Newcastle with a BA in Geography,  He then went to the Cass Business School in Londong to do an MSC in Management.  He now works for Goldman Sachs as a Junior Anaylst covering UK banking stocks.

RANA OMAIS visits Venta on a regular basis.  She lives in the Ivory Coast with her husband and two children, Chadi and Kinda.  Photo Gallery

JILL QUINLAN-BIRD  is married to Stephen Bird and they have two lovely daughters (Miranda and Vanessa) .  She is working as the Fund Development Director of a Montreal charity called Tyndale St. Georges  for inner city children.  She lives in Montreal and prior to that was living in London, England and Toronto.  She graduated for St. Francis Xavier University in 1989.

NICK RABY recently sent us a note to let us know that he recently bought a house and is on the Tim Horton's travelling team helping to open new stores across Canada.

KATIE ROGERS had twin girls, Jade and Hannah on May 19th 2001.   Presently she is working full time as a Mother's Helper and part time at Sweetgrass Aborignial Bistro here in Ottawa.  It is the first Native restaurant in the nation's capital.   Katie recently re-united with her birth family in Norway's House Cree Nation, Manitoba.  She plans to study Journalism at Carleton University.  Photo Gallery

YULIA ROMAR lives in Montreal with her boyfriend and her daughter Emma Yulia Romar.

KYLE ROSEBROOK joined the military.

WALID SALEM attended the American School of Paris, Ottawa University and Algonquin College after he graduated from Venta.  He has launched a company called Mipiq Wireless Corporation and he enjoys consulting within start-up environments.   In the summer of 2005 Walid married a woman named Sara.  Photo Gallery

HANS SCHENK  finished high school in Vienna, Austra and then attended the University of Colorado.

MARK SKAFF attended Ashbury College after Venta and successfully pursued post-secondary education in journalism. He is currently a government spokesperson on behalf of the Ontario MInistry of Small Business and Consumer Services at Queen's Park, Toronto.

JEFFREY SPIDLE  runs his own recording company called Fidelity Recording Services. 

ALISON STEWART  went York University and obtained a degree in Fine Arts.

PHIL SWANSON is attended Queen's University majoring in mining engineering.

STEPHEN TEETER has a diploma in Police Foundations and Computer Programming from Algonquin.  He married Natalie Leury, sister of Venta graduate, Angela Leury.

MARK TEETER received a diploma in Desktop Publishing.

TIGEST THOMSON graduated from Redeemer Christian High School and then spent 7 months in the Katimavik Programme. 

KATIE WAKELY attended Sir Sanford Fleming in Peterborough, ON. and got married in 2007.

STEVE WAKELY lives just outside of Manotick with his girlfriend Crissy, and their son, Lincoln. He went to Algonquin College and studies to be an HVAC tech.

ERIC WATTS finished higschool in 2005 and then went on to get a degree in Business Management. Eric lives in Ottawa.

DAVID WENER  finished his Bachelor of Commerce degree at Concordia University and is working and is working in management at an IT Company.  Before that he received a diploma in Health Sciences from John Abbot College and won the Robert Morrison Computer Center Award.

JOEL WENER also won the Robert Morrison Computer Center award and made the Dean's Honour Roll at Vanier College.  His is currently at Concordia University and works as an IT Technologist at CAE Inc.  20th Anniversary Photo Gallery.
